Boat Engine Lower Unit Repair for a Pro Bass Fisherman

TIG welding was the right choice for this repair because it enabled us to produce a clean, controlled weld on the damaged engine component.

After the new section was welded into place, we machined the repaired area back to the original dimensions. This step was important because the repair needed to match the shape and fit of the original lower unit as closely as possible. Once the welding and machining were complete, we repainted the area that had been worked on so the repair blended in with the rest of the engine.

By the time the work was complete, the damaged lower unit looked like it had not been broken in the first place.
